Your record should belong to you.

1. Overview

Worth Noting is provided by House of Laurenz, LLC (“House of Laurenz,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy applies to the Worth Noting iOS app, the Worth Noting website and support communications relating to Worth Noting.

The app is currently offered for download through the United States App Store. The website may be accessible from other locations.

Worth Noting does not require an account. There is no Worth Noting sign-up or password and no House of Laurenz server that stores your record.

Your record is stored on your device by default. Optional backup and multi-device features are described below.

We do not sell your personal information or use your Worth Noting record for advertising.

2. Information stored on your device

The content you create in Worth Noting is stored locally on your device.

Depending on the features you use, that can include:

• entries and the context you add to them, such as title, date, what happened, why it matters, who was involved, the kind of win, starred status and notes to yourself;
• additional details you choose to track, such as what an entry was part of, figures worth remembering, who it was for, recognition received and skills drawn on;
• photos and links attached to entries;
• items placed in Coming up;
• life areas and field preferences;
• profile information you choose to include on documents you export;
• temporary copies of documents or backup packages prepared for export; and
• device-specific settings such as reminder schedules and App Lock.

House of Laurenz does not receive this information through the ordinary operation of the app.

We cannot read it or recover it for you.

The exception is information you deliberately choose to send us, such as content included in a support email. That is described in Section 4.

Photos

When you attach a photo, Worth Noting saves its own copy in the app rather than merely linking to the original in your photo library.

The app re-encodes the saved copy. This removes metadata carried by the original image, including location metadata. The resulting copy is stored with the rest of your Worth Noting record.

Reminders

If you enable reminders, they are scheduled and delivered on your device.

Reminder content is not composed or routed through a House of Laurenz server.

App Lock

If you enable App Lock, your device performs the Face ID, Touch ID or device-passcode authentication.

Worth Noting receives only the result of that authentication attempt. House of Laurenz does not receive your face, fingerprint or other biometric information.

Device permissions

Worth Noting may request:

• notification permission when you enable reminders;
• photo-library access when you choose to attach a photo; and
• Face ID permission when you enable App Lock.

These permissions are requested when the related feature is used and can be changed in your device settings.

Because your record is stored locally, deleting the app, erasing the device or losing access to the device can result in loss of locally stored information unless another copy or backup exists.

3. Manual backups, iCloud and multiple devices

Manual backups

Worth Noting lets you create a manual backup whether or not you subscribe.

You decide where the backup goes.

House of Laurenz does not receive a manual backup unless you deliberately send it to us.

Worth Noting backup packages are deliberately readable. They contain your record in a portable form alongside associated files so that the information can be accessed without Worth Noting.

That portability also means anyone who obtains the backup may be able to read it. Store backup files as you would other personal documents.

Automatic iCloud backup and multi-device sync

Worth Noting Pro includes optional automatic iCloud backup and multi-device sync.

These features are off until you turn them on.

If you enable them, the information needed for those features is stored in your own iCloud account using Apple services. House of Laurenz does not operate the iCloud account, hold its credentials or maintain a separate server copy of your record.

We cannot read, recover or delete the copy held in your iCloud account on your behalf.

What sync carries

When multi-device sync is enabled, the information needed to keep your Worth Noting record consistent across participating devices can include:

• entries and their attached photos and links;
• life areas;
• Coming up items;
• field preferences; and
• profile information used on exported documents.

Device-specific settings such as reminder schedules and App Lock remain on the device where they were set.

Sync files also contain technical information needed to merge changes, such as a device identifier used by Worth Noting, a generic device model description, the app version and build, and timing information associated with changes.

That information remains within your iCloud account as part of the sync process.

Apple controls iCloud

Your use of iCloud is subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices.

Availability and behavior can depend on your Apple Account, iCloud configuration, device settings, connectivity, software versions, available storage and Apple services.

Turning sync or automatic iCloud backup off in Worth Noting stops future participation by that device or feature. It does not necessarily delete files already stored in your iCloud account.

Before deleting Worth Noting data from iCloud

Before deleting Worth Noting data from iCloud, create a current manual backup and store it somewhere outside iCloud.

Deleting the iCloud copy can cause Worth Noting's automatic iCloud backup or multi-device sync to be unavailable while Apple makes the necessary iCloud storage available again. In unusual cases, those features may remain unavailable until the underlying iCloud issue is resolved.

House of Laurenz cannot create, repair or restore that storage area on your behalf because it is part of your Apple Account and Apple's services.

4. Information you choose to send us

If you contact us for support, feedback or another reason, we receive the information you choose to provide.

That may include:

• your email address;
• your message;
• screenshots or files you attach;
• information from your record if you deliberately include it;
• app version and build information;
• a generic device model, such as “iPhone” or “iPad,” and operating-system version;
• a RevenueCat identifier associated with the installation; and
• other technical information you choose to include in a support report.

The in-app feedback option opens a message in your own mail app. You can review and edit the message before sending it, and nothing is sent to us until you send the email.

The feedback message may include the random RevenueCat identifier associated with that installation so that we can help investigate a purchase or subscription problem.

Sync reports

If you choose to send a sync report, it may contain technical information such as:

• a generic device model, such as “iPhone” or “iPad,” and operating-system information;
• app version and build;
• timing and time-zone information;
• counts of records held by participating devices; and
• synchronization status.

The support report does not include your custom device name, win titles or entry text.

The device description is the model reported by iOS, not a name you have given the device.

Please avoid sending private entry content unless it is necessary for the issue and you are comfortable sharing it.

How support email is handled

Email sent to our support address is routed using Cloudflare and delivered to our Google Workspace business email account.

Cloudflare and Google therefore process the email and its attachments as part of providing those services.

5. Purchases and Worth Noting Pro

Worth Noting Pro is available through App Store subscriptions.

Apple

Apple processes App Store purchases.

House of Laurenz does not receive your payment-card number or your Apple Account password.

Apple controls payment processing, billing, refunds and the Apple Account relationship under its own terms and privacy practices.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to determine whether Worth Noting Pro features should be unlocked and to assist with subscription administration and support.

RevenueCat may process information associated with the purchase, including:

• a randomly generated RevenueCat App User ID associated with the installation;
• Apple purchase and receipt information;
• subscription and entitlement status;
• transaction and last-seen information;
• device type and operating-system information;
• purchase locale or currency information; and
• technical information transmitted with an internet request, including IP address.

Worth Noting does not send RevenueCat your entries, notes, photos, profile name or other contents of your record.

We do not send RevenueCat your name, email address, Worth Noting profile name, advertising identifier, or other optional customer attributes. Worth Noting does not use RevenueCat's customer-attribute or device-identifier collection features.

RevenueCat uses purchase information to validate purchases, maintain subscription entitlement and provide subscription-related functionality and reporting.

The RevenueCat identifier is not your Worth Noting identity

Worth Noting has no account system, so the RevenueCat identifier is not based on your name, email address or Worth Noting profile.

Deleting and reinstalling the app may cause a new random identifier to be generated. Restoring a purchase may cause RevenueCat to associate purchase history with the identifier needed to restore that entitlement.

If you deliberately send the RevenueCat identifier to us in a support email, we can use it to locate the related RevenueCat customer record and can then associate that support request with the email address from which you contacted us.

We use that association only as reasonably needed to:

• provide support;
• investigate or manage the subscription issue;
• maintain appropriate support records;
• prevent fraud or misuse; or
• comply with law.

We do not use RevenueCat purchase information for behavioral advertising or to build a profile of the contents of your Worth Noting record.

6. Information available through Apple App Store Connect

Worth Noting does not contain a general-purpose product analytics SDK, advertising SDK or third-party crash-reporting SDK.

Separately, Apple makes information about App Store performance available to developers through App Store Connect.

Depending on Apple's services and user privacy choices, this can include information about:

• App Store impressions and product-page activity;
• downloads and installations;
• sales, subscriptions, trials, renewals and refunds;
• app versions and device or operating-system categories;
• sessions, retention, crashes and deletions; and
• other aggregated or privacy-protected App Store performance information.

Apple controls how that information is collected and made available under its privacy practices.

We may use this information to understand basic acquisition, subscription performance, usage and app stability.

This information does not give us access to your Worth Noting entries or record.

If we later add our own analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, attribution or similar technology, we will update this Privacy Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures before that additional collection begins.

7. The Worth Noting website

The Worth Noting website does not currently have an account system, email signup, advertising or behavioral analytics.

We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.

Cloudflare hosts and secures the website. In providing those services, Cloudflare may process routine technical information such as:

• IP address;
• browser or device information;
• request details; and
• security-related information.

Cloudflare may also use technical mechanisms reasonably necessary to deliver and protect the site.

The website's typefaces are served from our own domain rather than a third-party font service.

Browser privacy signals

The Worth Noting website does not track you across third-party websites for behavioral advertising, and House of Laurenz does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Because we do not currently engage in those practices, browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals do not change how the site processes information.

If we later add analytics, a newsletter, cookies or other measurement or marketing tools, we will update this policy and any other required disclosures before that additional collection begins.

8. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information or the contents of your Worth Noting record.

We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and do not use Worth Noting data for targeted advertising.

At launch, the principal outside services relevant to this policy are:

Apple. Provides the App Store, purchase infrastructure, iCloud and App Store Connect services.

RevenueCat. Processes subscription and entitlement information.

Cloudflare. Hosts and secures the Worth Noting website and routes support email.

Google Workspace. Receives and stores support email for House of Laurenz.

When a service provider processes information on our behalf, the information is used for the operational, support, security, purchase or legal purposes described in this policy, subject to the provider's applicable contractual obligations.

Some services, particularly Apple services you use through your own Apple Account, also operate under a direct relationship between you and that provider.

We may disclose information we actually hold if reasonably necessary to:

• comply with law or valid legal process;
• protect the rights or safety of users or others;
• investigate fraud, misuse or security problems; or
• establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

If House of Laurenz is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of the Worth Noting business, information we actually hold may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and the protections described in this policy.

Because House of Laurenz does not possess your Worth Noting record, there is no House of Laurenz server-side copy of that record to transfer or disclose.

9. Retention and deletion

Information on your device

Content stored only on your device remains there until you:

• delete individual content;
• use Start over;
• delete Worth Noting;
• erase or replace the device;
• restore another backup over it; or
• otherwise remove it through available app or device controls.

Start over deletes the Worth Noting record from that device and removes that device from the active sync set so the local wipe is not simply undone by the next synchronization.

Deleting Worth Noting from a device deletes the app and its locally stored Worth Noting data from that device.

Manual backups

Manual backup files remain wherever you chose to save or send them until they are removed from that location.

House of Laurenz has no ability to delete copies stored in locations you control.

iCloud data

Turning Worth Noting sync or automatic iCloud backup off does not necessarily delete files already stored in your iCloud account.

Deleting Worth Noting from a device also does not necessarily remove Worth Noting files already stored in iCloud.

You control removal of that iCloud data through your Apple Account and iCloud settings.

Before removing Worth Noting data from iCloud, create a current manual backup outside iCloud if the record is important to you.

Deleting the iCloud copy may cause Worth Noting's automatic iCloud backup or multi-device sync to be unavailable while Apple makes the required storage available again. In unusual cases, those features may remain unavailable until the underlying iCloud issue is resolved.

Support communications

Support and feedback communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• respond to the request;
• maintain appropriate support records;
• investigate technical, fraud or security issues;
• resolve disputes;
• comply with legal obligations; or
• protect our rights.

You may ask us to delete support communications or personal information we hold about you by contacting [email protected].

We will honor applicable deletion rights, subject to information we are permitted or required to retain for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or other legitimate purposes permitted by law.

Purchase information

Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase and transaction information according to their own policies, contractual obligations and applicable law.

10. Your choices and privacy rights

You have several controls directly through Worth Noting and your device.

Notifications. Turn reminders off in Worth Noting or change notification permission in device settings.

Photo access. Change or withdraw photo-library permission in device settings.

App Lock. Turn App Lock off in Worth Noting or manage related device permissions in Settings.

Your record. You can edit or delete entries through the app.

Start over. Use Start over to remove the record from that device.

Portable copy. Manual backup and PDF export remain available without a Pro subscription. You do not need to ask us for a copy of information that is already stored under your control.

iCloud. Turn Worth Noting's iCloud features off in the app and use your Apple Account settings if you want to remove copies already stored in iCloud.

Subscriptions. Manage or cancel your App Store subscription through your Apple Account.

Information House of Laurenz actually holds

Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information a business holds about you, such as rights to:

• access;
• correct;
• delete; or
• obtain a portable copy of certain information.

House of Laurenz does not hold your Worth Noting record through the ordinary operation of the app. We therefore cannot produce, correct, or delete that record for you. If you deliberately send us part of it in a support or feedback message, that copy is treated as support information under this policy.

If you want to make a request concerning support information or other personal information we actually hold, contact [email protected].

We may need reasonable information to verify that the request relates to you.

RevenueCat records

If you contact us about a RevenueCat record, we need enough information to locate the relevant customer record.

The simplest method while Worth Noting remains installed is to use the in-app feedback option, which may include the RevenueCat identifier associated with that installation.

If the app is no longer installed, you may provide purchase information from your App Store receipt or another identifier sufficient to locate the relevant transaction or customer record.

Where applicable, we can use that information to assist with an appropriate request relating to the RevenueCat data associated with the identified customer record.

A reinstall can create more than one RevenueCat identifier, so there may be more than one record associated with different installations or restoration history.

No sale or behavioral-advertising opt-out is needed for our current practices

House of Laurenz does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If those practices ever change, we will revise this policy and provide any choices required by applicable law before beginning the changed practice.

11. Security

Worth Noting is designed to minimize unnecessary movement of your personal record away from your device.

For information we actually receive, such as support communications or subscription-related information, we use service providers and practices intended to provide reasonable protection appropriate to the information involved.

No device, storage system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You should also protect access to your device, Apple Account, email account and any backup files you create.

12. Children

Worth Noting is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that we have received personal information from a child under 13 in circumstances governed by child-privacy law, we will take appropriate steps, which may include deleting the information.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Worth Noting, our service providers, applicable law or our business practices change.

When we update it, we will revise the effective date at the top.

If a change is material, we will provide notice as appropriate or required by law.

If a change would materially expand how we use personal information previously collected under an earlier version of this policy, we will obtain additional consent where required before applying that new use.

If a future product change creates a new category of personal-information collection, we will update this policy and any required App Store disclosures before that collection begins.
